Ice Cream Parlor

Tulip’s Creamery is our on premise ice cream parlor, named after Tulip the cow, our logo since our opening in 1975. You will see many of the typical ice cream desserts listed on our menu that you would find in other ice cream parlors, but there are several things that set us apart from the rest.

For quality ice cream, we only use Crystal Spring Farm fresh milk and cream. We strive to keep our ice cream as natural as possible so that you can taste the fresh cream! Our soft ice cream is a favorite and customers often tell us that we have the creamiest around! If you’ve ever had one of our sundaes, you’ll immediately taste the difference.

Our whipped cream is real, made right here! Sundae toppings are also homemade. Our banana splits are a real show stopper, and could pass as dinner! Our onsite ice cream developer is Penn State trained; we refer to him as Grandpa Hubert Sell has been developing his ice cream recipe for over 60 years and he continuously works at refining our product.

Ice cream is served year round, but during the months June, July, and August we extend our hours until 6 pm daily. In season we have many more hand dipped flavors of ice cream.

One of the best things about visiting us for ice cream in the summer is that you can see our dairy herd grazing in the fields. You may even watch farm tractors bringing loads of hay and silage to feed our cows if you’re here at the right time.

There are many photo ops! We just love seeing our loyal ice cream customers return year after year and hope that we can add you to our list!

Tulip’s Café

Tulip’s Café is a great place to get a quick bite to eat. Perhaps the best thing about coming to the family farm for lunch is being a part of the rich roots for nutritious, homemade quality foods, handed down from recipes passed down from our grandmothers.

Our kitchen is always busy making old time favorite and homemade soups using fresh ingredients. Generous portions of fresh Crystal Spring Farm milk and cream are noticeably present in our cream soups and stews. Fresh broth and bone broth from roasting chicken, beef, and ham are the base for other favorite soups.

There is something for everyone, don’t worry! Menu items include hotdogs for the kids and young at heart. Garden salads or salad plates, subs, and numerous other cold sandwiches are made to order! We aim to please!

For dessert, why not treat yourself to a pie or cake? Old fashioned favorites include lemon sponge, apple tart, crumb pies, rhubarb custard (in season), plus more! Baked here in our kitchen, you will think that you’ve taken a step back in time to those made by your own Grandmother!
